Seamless Integration - DvTDM can be seamlessly integrated with
enterprise based applications like SharePoint, SAP, Oracle applications. This would
enable the enterprise to manage (version control, reference files, workflow approval,
project life cycle) their drawings/documents and view without their native format.
Time Tracking - Allows System administrator / Project manager /
Team lead / Manager / Approver to record number of hours a file has been open in
AutoCAD by end user(s). This would enable project managers as well as DvTDM administrator
to understand how much time is spent on creating/approving/modifying a drawing or

Knowledge groups - Ability to group otherwise unrelated documents.
Knowledge groups are set of people who share the same interest or working together
in a project or product development. Knowledge groups team members are notified
if there is a change in the document/drawings. Knowledge groups are notified when
the following changes happen in the system:
- 1. Alert users about the status of the
- 2. Alert about the release of drawings
- 3. Alert company's client about the
current stage of drawing / document
- 4. Alert system administrator / project
manager about the list of drawings being deleted
- 5. Alert users when a set of documents
are added to
- a. A project or multiple projects
- b. A product or multiple products
Legacy documents indexing - Facilitates quick and accurate indexing
of all existing drawings in to DvTDM. Using DvTDM utility tool like Folder Watch
and Import legacy data, DvTDM allow users to import all the files and according
to their folder structures.
This enables organization to index the folder name with respect to fields. For e.g.
if the folder structure is Project-->Department-->Drawing Type, then Dv System allows
user to index project in project field, department in department name and drawing
type in drawing type field. By this way in no time, Dv TDM indexes all the records
along with Dv Scheduler.
Graphical workflow - Visualize plan and implement the path a project
takes by simply drawing lines. Workflow can be easily streamlined for greater efficiency.
Workflow designer helps users to design a graphical workflow as per the department
process or business process requirement. This enables users to create workflow in
no time by
- Creating sequential workflow
- Set reminders
- Override process if a specific user
is not available / bypass the node
- Notify external entity not involved
in the workflow

File Structure Support - Arrange your files according to your existing file and directory structure
Content searching - Search for text contained in any document even when this was not part of the original index. Content Searching allows users to search a "word" or "term" not only in the database but also inside documents in very short time.
Project Wizard - Create new projects quickly by populating predefine fields with information such as project name, Project number, drawing number structure.
Inbox - Similar to Outlook/Lotus Notes, Dv Inbox helps users by displaying the list of records / documents / drawings where user's necessary action is required. This functionality helps to avoid users in opening the outlook / lotus notes to see the tasks sent by their managers / approvers. Also there will not be requirement to store information in two different applications for the same task instead inside Dv TDM.
Drawing / Document Auto-Number Generation - Dv auto number system helps users to define number format for more than one project or each projects. Companies like Design consulting or project consulting companies can define numbering standards as per their client requirements.
